protects information when you visit thebreathingnook.com (the "Site"), book a session or consulta‐
tion, purchase a product or class, or otherwise interact with us. By using the Site, you agree to the
practices described here.
Who We Are
The Breathing Nook is a Chicago-based breathwork (pranayama) studio offering private and small-
group classes, including virtual appointments. If you have any questions about this policy or your

Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, as well as certain information collected
automatically when you use the Site. Examples, Contact & identity information: Name, email address, and any details you include when you complete our contact form, request a free consultation, or sign up for our news‐
letter. Booking information: Appointment details, scheduling preferences, and information you provide when booking through our scheduling provider (Acuity Scheduling). Purchase information :Order details and billing information you submit at checkout. Payment card details are processed by our payment processor and are not
stored by us (see "Payments" below). Wellness-related information: Any health context you voluntarily share — such as breathing concerns or conditions like asthma or anxiety — to help us tailor a session to your needs.
Automatically collected information
Standard analytics data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring website, collected through our website platform's built-in tools and cookies.
A note about health information. The Breathing Nook is a wellness and breathwork studio, not a
healthcare provider, and any wellness-related information you share with us is not treated as
protected health information under HIPAA. We use it solely to provide and personalize our services
and never sell it. Nothing on this Site or in our sessions is medical advice; please consult a qualified
healthcare professional regarding any medical condition.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Schedule, provide, and manage classes, sessions, and consultations;
Process orders and respond to your questions or requests;
Send our monthly newsletter and other communications you have signed up for, including

Payments
Purchases made through the Site are handled using the standard checkout provided by our website
platform, Squarespace, which uses third-party payment processors to handle transactions. Your full
payment card details are collected and processed directly by these processors under their own
security standards and privacy policies; The Breathing Nook does not receive or store your complete
card number.
Scheduling
Appointments and consultations are booked through Acuity Scheduling (a Squarespace service). In‐
formation you submit when booking is handled in accordance with Squarespace's privacy practices in
order to manage your appointment.
Cookies & Analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, primarily through Squarespace's built-in analytics, to
keep the Site functioning, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Site. You
can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the Site may
not work properly without them.
Social Media
The Site links to our profiles on Instagram and Facebook. If you interact with those links or platforms,
your activity is governed by the privacy policies of those services, not this one.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate our studio,
specifically with service providers who help us run the Site and our business — including Squarespace (website
hosting, checkout, and analytics) and Acuity Scheduling (appointment booking) — who may process your information only on our behalf.
Legal and safety purposes, when we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to
protect our rights, our clients, or the public; and business transfers, if The Breathing Nook is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets,in which case we will notify you of any change in how your information is handled.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain our business
records, and comply with legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reason‐
able steps to delete or de-identify it. You may ask us to delete your information at any time by
contacting us.
Newsletter: You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by
contacting us directly.
Access & deletion: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal
information we hold about you by emailing ashley@thebreathingnook.com.

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
